The war that changed lives
Since 2022, the war in Ukraine has forced millions of people to leave their homes in search of safety. Whether they have fled to neighboring countries or left their hometowns to protect their families, Ukrainian refugees have been living on the streets for almost three years, trying to rebuild their lives far from home. This humanitarian tragedy has changed the destinies of millions of people, who now depend on the support of communities across Europe to find stability.
Among these families was the Petrov family, who were forced to leave their entire lives behind after the invasion. After a journey long and full of uncertainty, they arrived in Romania, where they had to find effective solutions to get on with their lives, including managing their travel expenses.

The road to safety and the need for affordable solutions
In March 2022, the Petrov family - parents and two children - had to flee the city of Kharkiv. With a few luggage essential and car which had become their only means of transportation, they set off for Romania's border, without a clear plan, but hoping to find siguranță.
Arrived in Bucharest, they realized that in order to maintain financial stability, one of the members had to travel frequently to different European countries to find work opportunities and support the family. This lifestyle made it necessary to find a solution parking accessible on long-term near Airport Otopeni.
Parkado: the ideal solution for frequent travelers
In search of an efficient option, the Petrovs discovered Parkado, a private parking lot with rates more accessible than airport and services well-structured for long trips.
"We compared several options and Parkado gave us the best balance between price, safety and flexibility," said Mr. Petrov.
With a limited budget and departures frequent of 30 days each, the family chose Parkado as a reliable solution to leave their car safe. The Booking It was quick and easy, and on each departure, a shuttle transported them directly to the departure terminal, with no delays or hidden costs.
Return: No penalty for over parking
After such a 30-day trip, Mr Petrov returned to Bucharest, only to realize that he had been unable to extend his parking due to financial problems. He expected high extra charges or even the impossibility of getting his car back immediately.
But, to his surprise, Parkado charged the standard rate, with no penalties for overtime. "It was a huge relief. We had no resources for additional fees and this gesture helped us enormously to stay afloat," Mr. Petrov recounted.
Conclusion: Parkado more than a parking lot - a real support
The Petrov family's story shows that the right solutions can make all the difference in difficult times. Parkado was not just a place to leave their car, but a service that helped them better manage travel costs and avoid unnecessary penalties.
For those who need a safe and secure place accessible for their car, Parkado remains a reliable option that understands the real needs of frequent travelers with limited resources.
